Transit Commission meets today at 4:30 at the Council Chambers at City Hall. If you'd like public comment shared about the fare proposal today, please email them to [email protected].
We know money is tight, and costs everywhere continue to rise – especially at the pump. That’s why we want to make it easier to Choose Transit for your daily travel needs!
We are considering a proposal to lower the cost of our Monthly Passes to encourage you to ride the bus! Under this proposal, you can get unlimited bus rides for 30 days for only $40 – that’s less than a tank of gas!
The cost of single-use tickets and day passes would be conveniently rounded to the nearest dollar, reducing the need to carry around small change. We would also expand the use of Day Passes and the 13 Ride Punch Card to be available to all riders!
Reduced Fare and Income-Qualifying prices would continue to be half the price of the Full-Fare equivalent pass.
While the price of some tickets would increase, we would be offering better deals than ever before!
Full details of the Fare Change Proposal are detailed below:
LOWER the cost of:
↘ Full Fare Monthly Passes from $50 down to $40
↘ Half Fare Monthly Passes from $25 down to $20
INCREASE the cost of:
↗ Full Fare Single Rides from $1.75 to $2.00
↗ Half Fare Single Rides from $0.85 to $1.00
↗ Full Fare Day Passes from $3.75 to $4.00
NEW Pass options:
🆕 NEW Full Fare Punch Card: 13 Rides for $20.00
🆕 NEW Reduced Fare Day Pass: $2.00
The co-pay for Paratransit rides would remain double the cost of a single fare, increasing to $4/ride during normal operating times.
