We are a family-owned business that has been assisting people with disabilities since 2004. Give us a call to see how we may serve you!

We provide person-centered Vocational, Residential and Case Management services throughout the Twin Cities. We are to create a pathway to Self-Reliance by diligently pursuing positive outcomes for people with disabilities and others who encounter barriers in achieving successful integration within our community.

Arnold has worked at Taste of Scandinavia since 2015. Arnold said he looks forward to going to work on Wednesdays. Arnold has such a zest for life. His attitude and good nature are inspiring. Arnold said he likes where his job is located so he can walk to work. Arnold enjoys his work, which is dishwashing, and has been at this place for 14 years. Arnold enjoys his co-workers and his free lunch, which is always a surprise regarding what they will cook up. Arnold hopes to keep working there, as long as he is able.

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month.
Tuesday, October 6, we held our annual poster distribution day. Staff distributed nearly 100 posters to employers across the metro area.

We’d like to share that our Residential Program Director, Kira Yastrebova, concluded her role with us last week after accepting a position with the Department of Human Services. Over the past 13.5 years, Kira has been an incredible leader, and while we will miss her deeply, we are proud to support her continued impact on social services across Minnesota.

At the same time, we are pleased to announce the promotion of Ashley Bandy, one of our Associate Program Directors, to Residential Program Director. Martin has worked at Lunds & Byerly's since 2020.
Martin loves his job, primarily due to assisting customers. He finds working with his colleagues enjoyable because of his positive relationships with them. He also stated that his managers are easy to work with because they are helpful and ensure his success. Martin enjoys working in the community, meeting new people, and seeing returning customers. He also stated that his job provides him with the financial means to live independently in the community.
Martin's manager at Lunds and Byerlys stated that Martin has added so much to the team. Martin is a team player and will help out if someone calls in or works in other areas when needed. Martin is punctual and goes out of his way to treat every customer with kindness and shows he really cares. The manager also said that Martin has reached his goal to cross train and will be starting that training soon. The manager feels that celebrating National Disability Month is a great way to celebrate employment for people with disabilities to bring awareness to other businesses and to the people in the community.

Arnold expresses satisfaction with his employment at Scandinavia in Bloomington. For the majority of his career, he has worked as a dishwasher, a role he greatly enjoys. Arnold indicates that his preferred days are those spent at work, where he can interact with his colleagues. He also notes that he is treated well by his coworkers and appreciates the complimentary meal provided. Arnold further states that his job provides him with additional income, which he uses for leisure activities within the community, and it enables him to live independently.
Arnold's manager at Taste of Scandinavia in Bloomington expressed their satisfaction with Arnold as a team member. The manager noted that Arnold is a highly loyal employee, consistently striving to perform his best. The manager also highlighted Arnold's pleasant demeanor and gratitude for his employment. They believe that celebrating National Disability Employment Awareness Month is valuable for raising awareness among other businesses about the capabilities and willingness of individuals with disabilities to contribute to the community.

Jason has been an employee at US Bank Stadium for over nine years. Jason likes his position in customer service because "I like working with people." Jason has excellent interpersonal skills. He has extensive knowledge in sports, entertainment, and documentaries. Jason can speak easily on any subject.

Jason states that working in the community gives him "purpose" and extra income. Being a people person helps Jason become part of the community.

Jason is also an election judge. He lives in Dakota County and works as an election judge in Inver Grove Heights. This position also gives Jason a sense of purpose. Jason is pursuing a degree in political science. The election judging fits with his degree.
