The South Metro Public Safety Training Facility is a fire and police training center owned by the Bloomington, Edina, Eden Prairie and the Metro Airport.
South Metro Public Safety Training Facility allows the general public access to firing range for the purpose of practicing safe and proficient fi****ms handling. The gun range is open to the public every Saturday 8 AM - 2 PM and most* Wednesdays from 6 PM - 9 PM. Cost is $20/lane for a single shooter. Also offered are Intro to Handguns, MN Permit to Carry, Advanced Carry, and Women's Self Defense Pistol Training.

Register now for the upcoming church security training opportunities!
Security Awareness & Preparation, instructed by Simon Osamoh is a 2 1/2 hour class designed to expand your knowledge about your right to carry a deadly force weapon in a church environment. This is a prerequisite to the Guardian Training course. Upcoming classes: June 11, June 22.
Guardian Training is a two day hands-on experience, instructed by Joe Bezotte. This course was created and designed to be a complete training program for worship security teams and individuals. This course covers all the critical knowledge areas and skill sets needed to be successful. Upcoming class: July 12 & 13.

**LIMITED SEATS REMAIN**
This program is designed to provide a hands-on experience in fi****ms safety for people who are new gun owners or are thinking of purchasing a firearm for personal safety and/or recreational shooting.
Classes will take place over two evenings. On the first night, participants will:
• Learn important safety procedures for handling of pistols and for use of fi****ms range;
• Familiarize with the different types of pistols, their parts and operation;
• Learn about ammunition and its proper use;
• Be able to load and unload a firearm using “dummy” ammunition;
• Practice firing stance, grip and use of pistol sights;
On the second night, participants will:
• Shoot live ammunition on a twelve lane indoor firing range with the assistance of fi****ms instructors and range safety officers;
• Participate in target shooting and tactical exercises using an inter-active police fi****ms simulator with laser gun technology.
• Be informed of state laws and procedures regarding the purchase and carrying of a hand gun.
Students must attend the first night’s instruction in order to participate in the live ammunition and simulator training on the second night. This course is open to people over the age of 18. Because of some adult content, teens, ages 13 - 17 years, may attend with a parent or guardian who is also a participant. Under 13 years, please contact Debra Fields (info below). Pistols are provided. If you already own a handgun, you are welcome to bring it with you.
