Three Sworn into Edina Fire Department • Edina, MN Edina, Minn., May 15, 2026 – The Edina Fire Department officially welcomed three new team members during a swearing-in ceremony Friday, May 1, at Edina Fire Station 2. 

Our very own community engagement team at Edina PD was recognized at a state level, for their outstanding work! We are incredibly grateful for their dedication, compassion, and willingness to go above and beyond. From strengthening relationships with local youth to creating meaningful partnerships and opportunities, the work they do is so important.

The Edina Police and Fire departments presented Citizens Awards at the City Council meeting to two Southdale YMCA employees, James Parker and Brian Myers, both performed life saving assistance to a person suffering from a cardiac event. We are proud to be a part of such a great and caring community!

Two YMCA Staff Honored by Edina Police and Fire Departments • Edina, MN Edina, Minn., March 17, 2026 – The Edina Police and Fire departments presented Citizens Awards at the March 17 City Council meeting to two Southdale YMCA employees, James Parker and Brian Myers.

Yesterday Chief of Police Todd Milburn and K-9 Officer Bennett Breyer presented at the Rotary Club of Edina with our PD’s newest K-9 Koda. 💙 Koda is a special K-9 because he trained in firearm detection. This is one of the many amazing programs provided through the Edina Crime Prevention Fund.
