🕯️❤️ MOMENTOS DE AMOR Y RECUERDO — THEIR LOVE LIVES ON ❤️🕯️
DÍA DE LOS MU***OS | REMEMBRANCE, LOVE & HEALING
During tonight’s support group meeting, Rio Grande Valley Families & Friends of Murdered Children (RGV-FFOMC) gathered to honor loved ones through Día de los Mu***os and the momentos—precious moments—that remain in our hearts.
Families shared stories of visiting cemeteries, lighting candles, building altars, displaying photographs, and preparing favorite foods. Some grew up with these traditions; others embraced them for the very first time.
💗 THANK YOU TO EVERY FAMILY WHO PARTICIPATED.
We especially honor those who found the courage to speak about their loved ones for the first time. Your stories brought moments of laughter, tears, reflection, and understanding. Each memory reminded us that a person’s life is so much more than the tragedy of their death.
To everyone who brought food and desserts, thank you for sharing not only a meal, but kindness and belonging. Around one table, we became more than a support group: one family, one unit, walking together through grief.
For families affected by homicide, remembrance creates space for love, connection, and healing. No tradition has to look the same; every story and every act of remembrance matters.
🕊️ What special moment or tradition helps you feel close to your loved one?
WE HEAR YOU. WE SEE YOU. WE STAND WITH YOU.
Hope, Healing and Justice.
