Kicking off the premiere of Take Me Home film at Edinburgh Methodist Church on Saturday, this session on Thursday focuses on care -- whether it’s taking care of aging or sick family members, children, disabled loved ones, or themselves.
1 Million Care Conversations is an ambitious effort to shape a new vision for care in America — grounded in real conversations with families about what’s needed, what’s missing, and the future we want to build.

Leading up to the screening of Take Me Home on 10/17/26, we're hosting a care conversation at the Community Center on 10/15.

Almost everyone will need or give care at some point in their lives — whether it’s taking care of aging or sick family members, children, disabled loved ones, or themselves.

Operation Bundle Up is a United Way of Johnson County, Indiana program that aims to put coats on kids who otherwise wouldn't have one. Winter is a time when scarcity is felt the most. No child should have to be cold waiting at the bus stop or playing with their friends. A coat is a simple, yet incredibly impactful, means of telling your community that you see and care about them. We are asking for new or gently used coats. We also accept new hats, mittens, and scarves. As you go through coats in your house for the upcoming cold season, keep OBU in mind.

Lydia Storie, Edinburgh native and Executive Producer, brings the film home during its premier week at Heartland Film Festival.

Take Me Home tells the story of the fictional character Anna, who cares for her aging parents in a fragile balance of meeting one another’s needs until a Florida heat wave shatters their routine. Alongside her sister Emily (Ali Ahn) and her father (Victor Slezak), they must confront challenging questions about the future, but Anna remains determined to build a life where all of them can thrive.
