Middlesex County Democratic Organization MCDO has earned a great record of success in helping to elect Democrats at all levels of gov't.

The Middlesex County Democratic Organization is governed by the elected Committeemen and Committeewomen who are accountable to the registered Democratic voters of the county. Those Committee members elect a Chair each year, and other officers. In turn a salaried Executive Director and other officials are appointed by the Chair. The Organization has adopted, and periodically reviews, a Constitution and By-Laws. It is said that, "Candidates make speeches but organizations win elections." This is certainly true in Middlesex County where our organization has earned a great record of success in helping to elect public officials at the federal, state, county and local levels. The strength of any organization is reflected in the strength of its volunteers. If you would like to volunteer to participate in any Democratic contest at any level of government, please contact our Organization at (732) 906-3680.

This is what accountability looks like.

New Jersey will receive more than $24 million through environmental settlements, including $19.5 million from Hess over pollution tied to its former refinery in Woodbridge. This news comes as Middlesex County is taking its own action to hold major oil companies accountable for the costs of climate and storm related damage to our communities.

Middlesex County recently filed its own lawsuit seeking to hold major oil companies accountable for climate-related damages. We applaud the Middlesex County Board of County Commissioners for standing up for taxpayers and sending a clear message: the costs of environmental damage shouldn’t fall on residents.

Healthy communities start with showing up. 🚶‍♀️

On Monday, Surrogate Claribel Cortes joined Mayor Helmin Caba and Perth Amboy residents for the latest Walk with Mayor Caba. This ongoing series brings neighbors together to get moving, enjoy time outdoors, and connect with one another and with local leaders.

Events like this are a reminder that wellness doesn't have to be complicated. It can be as simple as lacing up your sneakers, taking a walk, and saying hello to your neighbors along the way. When we look out for our health together, we build a stronger, more connected community.

Thank you to Mayor Caba for leading this initiative, and to everyone who came out to walk with us. We hope to see even more of you at the next one! 💙

Great things are happening in Middlesex County!

Earlier this week, our state, county and local leaders were in South Amboy to celebrate the ribbon cutting of NY Waterway’s South Amboy Ferry Terminal.

Whether you’re headed into the city for work or catching a show, the South Amboy Ferry offers another convenient way to get where you’re going.

This exciting new connection expands transportation options, strengthens regional connectivity and represents another important investment in the future of Middlesex County.

Over the past several decades, severe weather has resulted in nearly $199.4 million in damages and response costs across Middlesex County, impacting our infrastructure, our communities, and ultimately, our taxpayers.

We commend Middlesex County and the Board of Commissioners for taking this important step to protect our communities, strengthen our resilience against future severe weather, and get accountability for the significant costs these events have created.

Middlesex County residents should not be left to shoulder the financial burden of addressing these impacts alone. By taking action, the county is standing up for taxpayers and working to ensure our communities have the resources needed to prepare for and respond to the challenges ahead.
