📢 BALLINGER PARK UPDATES (10/2/26) --
The paved west trail at Ballinger Park is now open and will be accessible to the public until construction resumes work, which will likely be in 2027.

Pedestrians may use the paved trail to access the east side of the park from the Interurban Trail to the bridge crossing of Hall Creek.

A portion of the park to the south will remain closed for public safety, as the new gravel trails and other construction work remains temporarily incomplete.

Please respect the fencing, signage, and Parks crew as we work to provide access through the park.

Staff from the Snohomish County Noxious W**d Program plan to be at the Edmonds Marsh on October 5th to continue the process of eradicating common reed (Phragmites australis), an invasive grass that threatens native plant communities, reducing biodiversity and degrading habitat for wildlife. Specialists will use spot applications of Imazapyr, an herbicide categorized by the EPA as practically non-toxic (the lowest toxicity category) to fish, invertebrates, birds and mammals. Learn more about mandatory control of Class B noxious weeds at https://snohomishcountywa.gov/1750/Class-B-W**ds.
