Thank you to everyone who came out for the old-time base ball game yesterday. It was a fun afternoon watching the Georgetown Gentlemen play the Edmonton 9. There are already talks about making this an annual event.

Today’s the day! Old-time baseball at the Bell House!

Please use one of the two gravel service road entrances to park in the big mowed lot behind the house. We put out signs but they are really small!

If you’re coming from Edmonton, use the gravel entrance right past the bridge before you get to the brick house. If you’re coming from Columbia, please use the gravel entrance just past the big red pole barn by the tractor graveyard.

If you’re coming, please use the service road entrance before you get to Bell House. Signs will be posted. Parking will be available in the freshly mowed field behind the service road. Please don’t park on the lawn around the house. Thank you!

Metcalfe’s own Tommy Druen and Josh Hurt will be organizing the two teams-the Georgetown Gentlemen vs. the Edmonton 9. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the game!

Tornado missed Bell House by a mile or less. Lots of damage in Metcalfe County, though, and hundreds without power. Good thing we have plenty of original old oil lamps! Fun reminder that Bell House was the first home in Metcalfe County wired for electricity.

Thanks to everyone who has asked about the Bell House. It’s fine - but surrounded by flood waters. Our area got 8-10+ inches of rain since midnight. Lots of families and farms have lost everything. Please pray for Metcalfe County and all the people in Southcentral Kentucky who are dealing with catastrophic flooding.
