🚒🐾 Meet Tully, Edwardsburg Fire Department’s newest—and furriest—recruit!
This fire pup is ready to report for duty, steal a few hearts, and sniff out any treats left unattended. His qualifications? Four paws, a wagging tail, and an impressive ability to make everyone smile! ❤️
We’re still working on his hose-handling skills… but he’s already a natural at fetching! 🎾😂

🚒 HELP US FIND YOU WHEN EVERY SECOND COUNTS! 🚑

During a fire, medical emergency, or other crisis, a clearly marked address can save valuable time. Cass County properties are provided with a green metal address sign with white numbers to help emergency responders quickly identify the correct location.
Please take a moment to inspect your address sign:

✅ Place it near the entrance to your driveway in accordance with county and township standards.

✅ Make sure it is clearly visible from both directions of travel.

✅ Keep it free from weeds, brush, tree branches, snow, decorations, and parked vehicles.

✅ Keep the reflective surface clean and the numbers easy to read.

✅ Repair or replace signs that are missing, damaged, faded, or leaning.

✅ Do not place the sign where it blends into landscaping or cannot be seen from the roadway.

Posting numbers only on your home may not be enough—especially when the house sits far from the road or cannot be seen at night.

Please don’t wait until an emergency to discover that your address sign cannot be seen. Take a look from the road during both daylight and darkness. If you can’t easily see it, neither can we.

Visible address signs help us find you faster—because every second counts.

Cass County residents can obtain an official reflective address sign through the Cass County GIS/Addressing Office:

Location: Cass County Administration Building, 120 N. Broadway, Suite 210, Cassopolis, MI 49031

Phone: 269-445-4432

Honoring a Lifetime of Service

At the conclusion of the Edwardsburg Fall Festival, members of the Edwardsburg Fire Board gathered with our firefighters and community to dedicate a memorial tree in honor of William “Bill” Stack, who passed away last month after 65 years of dedicated service to the Edwardsburg Fire Department and our community.

The members of our Fire Board personally organized and funded this lasting memorial. We sincerely thank them for this meaningful gesture and for their continued support and leadership of our organization.
We are also grateful to everyone from the community who attended the dedication and helped us honor Bill’s remarkable life of service.

A special thank-you goes to Lonnie Brown and Brown’s Tree Service of Edwardsburg for removing an existing stump and making room for this memorial tree to grow and thrive for generations to come.
Bill’s dedication, friendship, and service will never be forgotten. As the memorial says:

“Rest easy, Brother. We’ve got it from here.”

Deepest condolences to the Cass County Sheriff Department and the friends and family of Detective Joseph Sheteron.
