I've had the opportunity to visit Senior Services Plus Inc. SSP in Alton several times and see firsthand the important work they do for our community.

I'm glad to announce $64,000 in state funding to help make their facility more accessible for the seniors and individuals who rely on their programs and services.

Our Fall Youth Advisory Council is always one of my favorite days of the year!

More than 50 students from across the 56th District came together to learn about state government, work on their own legislative ideas and connect with students from other schools.

Looking forward to having this group at the Capitol in the spring to debate their ideas! Thank you to Lewis and Clark Community College for hosting us!

On Monday, I joined more than 180 credit union employees for their annual staff event to share a legislative update and discuss some of the issues impacting their industry.

It was also a great opportunity to talk about the importance of staying involved and sharing their perspectives with elected officials. Those conversations are important as we work through legislation in Springfield.

Last week, I had the opportunity to tour Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital and learn more about the incredible work they do for children and families throughout our region, including right here in the Metro East.

Ranken Jordan provides specialized care for children with complex medical needs, helping them heal, grow and work toward returning home.
