Back in 2013 The Edwardsville Fire Department received a Foam Trailer donated by Energy Transfer. The trailer holds 500 gallons of foam concentrate and can supply the Sunoco Terminals fixed fire protection system, multiple hand lines or a 1,000+ GPM monitor. Following more additional training and protocol development this trailer will be available as a regional resource if needed.

The Department would like to thank State Representative Alec Ryncavage and Borough administration for their assistance with the project of getting the trailer back up to date and ready for service.

This Independence Day, the members of the Edwardsville Fire Department pause to reflect on the freedoms we enjoy and the generations of Americans who have defended them.

As our nation celebrates its 250th year, we honor the courage, resilience, and dedication that have shaped America since 1776. It’s a reminder that service to others—whether in the military, emergency services, or our own neighborhoods—continues to strengthen our communities every day.

If you’re celebrating with family, friends, or at one of the many local events, we ask everyone to celebrate responsibly, keep safety in mind, and help make this a memorable holiday for all the right reasons.

From everyone at the Edwardsville Fire Department, thank you for your continued support throughout the year.

Have a safe, enjoyable, and patriotic Fourth of July!

🇺🇸 Happy 250th Birthday, America! 🇺🇸

Proudly serving Edwardsville today, tomorrow, and for generations to come.

Chief Smith brings decades of experience to the position, having served as a part-time engineer for the Borough and as a retired Chief of the Wilkes-Barre City Fire Department.

We congratulate Chief Smith on his appointment and look forward to his leadership as we continue our mission of serving the residents of Edwardsville Borough.
