Overnight Warming Locations volunteers are needed!

🦉 Ready to make a difference in your community? Become an OWL Volunteer!

We are hosting three upcoming volunteer training sessions across Edwardsville, Alton, and Granite City. Whether you want to give back, connect with neighbors, or learn new skills, we would love to have you join our team.

📅 Training Schedule:

• Edwardsville OWL: Thursday, Oct. 22nd | 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
• Alton OWL: Saturday, Oct. 24th | 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM
• Granite City OWL: Monday, Nov. 2nd | 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM

Your granddaughter sends a video call invitation, and you stare at the screen wondering which button is the right one. By the time you find it, the call has ended.

Your emails are showing up on your iPhone but not your iPad and you had your son walk you through it on the phone but you both left the call frustrated.

Sound familiar?

Here is a way to fix that.

On Wednesday, October 28th, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM, AgeSmart is hosting Tech Tune-Up for Older Adults at our Swansea office, 7 Bronze Pointe South, Suite B. BTHS Tech Helpers, a group of student volunteers, will sit down with you one on one and help with your phone, tablet, or laptop. It is free, thanks to our sponsor, Spectrum.

They can help with email, texting, photos, video calls, app downloads, settings, and passwords. They cannot help with hardware repairs or cracked screens, and for your privacy they cannot help with banking or other financial accounts.

Appointments are required and last 20 minutes, so call us at 618-222-2561 to reserve your time.

HELP OWLs STAY WARM, SAFE & SUPPORTED!

We’re excited to partner with the Land of Goshen Community Market for an OWL Supply Drive! 🦉💙

As we prepare for another season of providing safe, warm overnight shelter through our Overnight Warming Locations (OWLs), we need your help stocking up on essential supplies for our guests.

From thick winter coats, warm socks, and gloves to blankets, sleeping bags, hand warmers, and personal care items, every donation makes a difference!
