The Illinois Youth Sport Commission is seeking feedback about sports opportunities available to young people throughout the state. Would you consider taking the commission's survey to help ensure our region is represented? Please note: The survey deadline has been extended to OCTOBER 31.

๐Ÿ€โšฝ Help shape the future of youth sports in Illinois.

The Illinois Youth Sport Commission wants to hear from people across the state about youth sport access, barriers and opportunities.

Whether youโ€™re a parent or caregiver, coach, educator, youth participant, community partner โ€“ or someone who cares about opportunities for young people โ€“ your perspective can help inform the commissionโ€™s work to expand equitable, safe and developmentally supportive youth sport opportunities.

The statewide survey takes about eight minutes to complete.

๐Ÿ“‹ Share your perspective by Sept. 29 and help shape the future of youth sports: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=nwgia7qOPEaE9TFxIQ-QBSm3jEjW-1ZAgBheiOuFMKZUNk01S0Y1M1NFT1VKT0RPUlZIMlY4STJGUS4u

Thank you to our friends at the Metro East Humane Society, Whisker Bones Supply Co. and Raeโ€™s Cafe for being part of the Dog Days adoption event at the West End Service Station on Saturday, September 26!
We enjoyed a wonderful couple of hours with an adorable trio of puppies available for adoption and one VERY lovable adult dog!
Rae's Cafe offered some delicious human treats, while Whisker Bones provide some great dog treats! Our friends at Great Rivers & Routes organized and hosted this great event!
If you didn't know, the West End Service Station once had its own dog during its Route 66 heyday, so seeing our furry friends find a forever home is near and dear to us! Visit the Metro East Humane Society on Facebook or its webpage to learn more about that. You can learn about the station's dog, Hank, plus the history of Route 66 across the nation and in Edwardsville, at our free visitor center, which is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday at 620 St. Louis Street. Parking is available on site ONLY on Friday through Sunday. There are a few nearby parking spots, including a fully accessible space for those with special needs, at Hadley House, 708 St. Louis Street. Learn more at: www.cityofedwardsville.com/westend
