ARCH Air Medical Service- Effingham, IL Base ARCH 3 is based in Effingham, IL. We provide rapid critical care transport to patients in need and support the work of local public safety services.

We are here to provide quality critical care transport both for interfacility and scene calls. We also offer a variety of outreach and education topics to help provide new and recurrent education training. Please feel free to contact us at archairmedical.com to see what we have to offer. Please join us in congratulating and welcoming Megan Blaes, RN, our newest Flight Nurse at ARCH 3!

Megan recently completed her flight orientation and was officially presented with her wings. Earning your wings marks the successful completion of orientation and the transition to serving as a fully released member of the flight crew—ready to care for patients on both scene flights and interfacility transports.

We’re excited to have Megan as part of the ARCH 3 family and can’t wait to see all that she brings to our crew and the communities we serve.

Bringing the lab to the bedside… and now, to the aircraft. 🚁🩸

The ARCH 3 crew spent some time today training on one of the newest additions to our critical care toolbox: the epoc® Blood Analysis System!

This handheld point-of-care testing system allows our clinicians to obtain important lab values from a small blood sample in just minutes, giving us valuable information about a patient’s condition while we’re caring for them during transport.

In critical care, patients can change quickly, and having more information available at the bedside can help guide treatment decisions when every minute matters.

We’re excited to add another advanced capability to ARCH 3 and put it to work for the patients and communities we serve. 💙🚁

And while we’re at it, a slightly belated Happy Birthday to Flight Nurse Tyler Trump, who celebrated his birthday this past weekend! 🥳 Sorry, Tyler… we’re a few days late, but we didn’t forget you!

These two managed to escape the birthday reels this year simply because I don’t have enough incriminating footage of them yet. 😂 Don’t worry… I have a whole year to fix that.

After a long night of flying and one heck of a long leg, this crew found themselves on the rooftop at Barnes-Jewish Hospital this morning.

Long flights, late hours, and tired eyes- but still showing up and getting the job done. Proud of our crew for absolutely crushing it last night. Now somebody get these guys some coffee… and a bed. 😂☕️

What an awesome day at the finish line! 🏅🚁

ARCH 3 was honored to join HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital for their 5th Annual “Meet Me at the Finish Line” Youth Adaptive Try-Athlon and this year’s Touch-a-Truck event!

We loved getting to spend the day with these incredible athletes, their families, and our community. Seeing the smiles, determination, and excitement as each athlete made their way to the finish line was something pretty special. 💙

Thank you to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital Effingham for including us in such an amazing event and for all the work that goes into making a day like this possible. We were so happy to be a small part of it!

Tom has officially completed his third-rider orientation and reached another exciting milestone this evening — completing his first flight in second seat! 👏

To mark the occasion, Tom was presented with his flight wings by ARCH 3 Clinical Base Lead Tyler Trump.
