Dear Residents,

We would like to make you aware that a gopher tortoise burrow has been identified in our community just off Ash Drive, between Live Oak Court and Chapman Oak Court.

The Base Environmental Team has taped off the area to help protect the tortoise and its habitat. While the area is clearly marked, we ask that all residents use caution when walking or driving nearby.

Please remind children to respect the marked boundaries, refrain from crossing into the restricted area, and avoid disturbing the tortoise or its burrow. Gopher tortoises are a protected species, and it is important that we allow them to remain undisturbed in their natural habitat.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping protect our local wildlife and keeping our community a safe environment for both residents and the animals that call it home.

Stop by the Community Center tomorrow at 10am for Storytime with the Library!

Dear Residents,

Due to ongoing storm cleanup efforts throughout the community, routine lawn mowing services will be temporarily suspended this week. Our landscaping crews are continuing to focus on the removal of fallen trees, limbs, and storm debris to ensure our community is safe.

Regular lawn mowing services are expected to resume next week.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as our teams work diligently to restore the community following the recent storm.

Representatives from the USAA Claims Center are currently on-site at the Eglin Military & Family Readiness Center (M&FRC) to provide direct, in-person assistance for service members, families, and retirees.

They are scheduled to be on base for the next two weeks; however, their duration may be shortened if foot traffic declines. We encourage anyone needing assistance to stop by early.

• Location: Military & Family Readiness Center (M&FRC), Bldg 205, 502 W. Van Matre Ave
• Hours of Operation: Daily, 0700 – 1900
• Format: Walk-up services only (No appointment required)
• Eligibility: Open to all current USAA policyholders

Available Services
On-site representatives can assist with:
• Auto Claims: Filing new claims, reviewing active claims, and claim inquiries
• Property Claims: Damage assessments, claims filing, and status updates
• Casualty Claims: Dedicated support for both new and existing casualty claims
• Account Access & General Support: Troubleshooting digital account access, updating policy contact details, and general account navigation

What to Bring
To expedite your visit, please bring:
• Military/DoD identification
• USAA Member number or policy information
• Any claim-related documentation, photos, or police/incident reports (if applicable)
