Really enjoyed this group strumming and singing the song, “Down by the Riverside “. People were dancing. It was a great No-Kings rally in El Cerrito. We had more than a hundred people at the No-Kings rally that I had organized as part of indivisible’s nationwide efforts. My theme was to vote early and prevent Trump from rigging the elections.

We should prevent Trump from rigging the midterm elections! So first, Vote Early to make sure your vote counts. Vote against the extreme right that supports the wannabe king. Next, we are mobilizing to fight any interference by Trump in the elections. Any actions of his administration to subvert the elections will be met with massive local and nationwide protests!

The election commission in India is engaging in a similar process to what Trump is trying to do in the US: Get the voters off the voter rolls who would vote for the opposition. In India they are trying mainly to get the Muslim minority off the voter rolls. In the US it’s minorities and Democratic Party supporters. It’s what dictators do to hang onto power by turning their nations into sham or facade democracies - Democracy only in name!
