Hello my friends! I want to keep this page focused on our library so I will only share this a handfil of times through the year, but I did want to share a big milestone for your friendly neighborhood steward - business owner!

I am starting to build my community over on that page, as well as the Instagram and TikTok pages. If you are interested in following my journey, I would appreciate a follow and interaction over there, too ❤️

If you would please allow me the honor of introducing you to Sol & Story - The Reader's Curio ☀️📖

Born from the love of books and the chaos of one person's brain, Sol & Story is a new literary-themed small business here in El Paso, TX. The name Sol & Story is a little piece of home: Sol for El Paso's Sun City, and Story for the books and stories that bring us all together.

The goal is simple: Create and curate literary goods that make bookish souls happy, support other small businesses along the way, and use our platform to bring together a community of readers, no matter the age, ethnicity, gender, or struggles that they may have.

We will be bringing you items such as Blind Dates With A Book, Surprise Boxes, bookish accessories, woodworking, and other handmade goods created specifically with readers in mind.

We're just getting started, and there's a lot to come! Follow along as Sol & Story grows - from our first products to our first farmers market and everything in between. So, consider this our official "Hello, world!" 👋

If you are just dabbling in reading/audio, a book collector, a serious annotator, a bookshop wanderer, or simply someone who couldn't resist a pretty bookmark at the Scholastic Book Fair...

Good morning, friends. There are often little trinkets to take placed by myself or the community inside the library that we encourage visitors to take home to enjoy. However, I need to give a reminder that the decorative items on or around the library, such as the garden statues or solar lights, are there as just that - decoration. Someone has made off with our little reading hedgehog garden statue from the base of the post 💔 I noticed him missing yesterday, so it had to have been sometime over the weekend or on Monday.

The past several weeks have been very heavy for myself and my family as we try to navigate life after saying goodbye to our oldest furry family member, along with other personal hardships. This little library is my livelihood. Please be mindful when visiting, everyone's, not just mine. We put a lot of effort into making the experience enjoyable for the community. It can be disheartening when things happen that shouldn't. I know one little reading hedgehog statue doesn't seem like something to be upset over, but sometimes that thing that seems so little to you can mean something very big to someone else. In my case, that little reading hedgehog was a point of interest for my elderly dog who is no longer here and now it feels like an extra piece of him has been taken from me.

If you happened to have taken it thinking that it was meant to be taken, could you please return it? It would mean a whole lot to me.
