🇺🇸 NO VETERAN SHOULD EVER BE LAID TO REST ALONE. 🇺🇸

Today, October 8, our El Paso community came together at Fort Bliss National Cemetery to honor SP5 Richard F. Magruder, United States Army, during his unaccompanied burial.

Although notification of this service did not reach our office through the normal channels, our community answered the call.

While the El Paso County Veterans Services Office was conducting a PACT Act Claims Clinic in downtown El Paso, fellow Veterans and community members stepped forward to ensure SP5 Magruder received the dignity, respect, and honor he earned through his service to our nation.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to the Knights of Columbus, Bridget Jordan at Breakfast, and everyone who took the time to stand in honor of this Veteran.

This is just one more reason El Paso proudly carries the title Veterans Capital of the USA. 🇺🇸

It’s more than a title. It’s a community that understands what service, sacrifice, and taking care of our own truly mean.

SP5 Richard F. Magruder, thank you for your service. May you rest in peace knowing your community stood with you until the very end. ❤️🤍💙

In El Paso, no Veteran should ever be forgotten or laid to rest alone.
