West El Paso is taking action. The new HEART initiative from EPPD brings officers, nonprofits, and city partners together to quickly connect unhoused neighbors with the services they need. Instead of waiting hours, or even days, HEART aims to link people to shelter, outreach, veteran support, and care in minutes. This is the kind of collaborative, compassionate response our community deserves.
