If you're not sure whether you need a notary or a lawyer, here is the difference:
A notary must be neutral and impartial and does not give advice to a customer about a document or to encourage or discourage them from signing a document. A licensed attorney can give legal advice, legal opinions, draft legal documents, or represent a client in court. ... It would be unlicensed practice of law if a notary was to do the job of a lawyer.
