Officer Elections:
As you know from the last email we will be having elections for the following temporary officer positions: Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer) during our May meeting so we can get back up to full speed and start planning our calendar out. As you might recall today April 30th at 12 AM is the last day to become a member to vote in these important elections. Ballots to vote will be sent the night of the meeting and as per our bylaws will be due 72 hours later (May 10th). Races with a single candidate will be voted on during the meeting via acclimation. Friendly reminder that while members have sent us an email seeking each of the positions that nomination open May 4th and close during our Meeting before we vote on each office.
During our meeting we will also be discussing the upcoming 2026 Democratic Convention, the 2026 Primary Run-off, and upcoming recruitment events

We’re proud to continue to stand with and we join her in demanding that Gov Abbott calls for a special election to fill the now vacant -23 seat.
Kathy is more than just our Democratic Nominee for -23 she is an every day Texas, a proud mama bear, and a community lawyer who’s on a mission to protect working-class families who have been forgotten by the current administration. We know when Katy wins, working-class Texans win, that’s why it’s incumbent that we fill the now open seat so Texans in TX-23 have a strong representative who cares deeply about them and their families.
If you can give her a follow, donate $5 to her grassroots campaign, and join us in demanding a special election to fill -23!

🚨ATTENTION VOTERS🚨
We are aware that several voting sites are experiencing issues with the voter check-in system. Voting machines are operating properly, however, some locations are requiring manual check-in, which may cause delays.
Voters are reminded that they may vote at any voting site and are not required to vote at a location within their precinct.
Here’s a list of voting sites with fully operational poll pads that may allow for quicker check-in.

Round 2 Endorsements Announcement ✨✨
It’s official after close to 30 hours of interviewing candidates, talking about what each office does, and spending time doing our research our membership has decided to release their 1st round of endorsements for the 2026 Democratic Primary election!
Candidates were vetted via their voter data, our progressive and thorough endorsement application (the most progressive in town), candidate screenings, and personal conversations with each candidate who filled out their application and showed they unapologetically stand with the LGBTQIA+ community.

It’s official it’s endorsement season again!
We’re doing things a little differently this year, by keeping everything on zoom to make sure we have one of the most inclusive processes possible. Candidates who are running should have received their endorsement applications (as long as they put their email on their application. If you are one of the few who didn’t it’s on our website no sweat).
Application are due before our February 5th Zoom meeting where any candidate who filled out the application is welcome to attend and speak to our members during the meeting.
Applications are due by 3 PM on February 5th and in order to qualify for our endorsement you must be a dues paid member before our 6 pm meeting.
