Happy 82nd Birthday, Atlas Battalion! 🎉

For 82 years, Atlas has answered the call supporting the fight and strengthening the force. From providing critical ammunition support during its activation in 1944, to serving the El Paso community in 2026 by delivering water after a major waterline break, Atlas Battalion has remained committed to mission and service, both at home and abroad.

Atlas troops marked this milestone by starting the day with a rigorous PT session, testing the strength of today’s formation while honoring the dedication and sacrifice of those who came before us.

At lunchtime, Soldiers came together for an 82nd birthday cake cutting, with remarks from the Battalion Commander (Atlas 6) and the Battalion Command Sergeant Major (Atlas 7), reflecting on our legacy and the path forward.

Here’s to 82 years of excellence and many more to come.
Support for Strength.

Welcome back, Atlas Family!

We hope everyone enjoyed a safe and relaxing holiday block leave. Our Atlas Soldiers are already back in stride and focused on the year ahead.

The new year kicked off with leader briefs from Atlas 6 and 7, outlining priorities and expectations moving forward. Soldiers have also been hard at work conducting vehicle maintenance to ensure readiness across the formation.

Additionally, our troops have begun training for the Norwegian Foot March, an 18.6-mile ruck march that tests endurance, discipline, and mental toughness.

Soldiers completed Combat Lifesaver (CLS) training, reinforcing Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) fundamentals and ensuring our formations remain prepared to render life-saving care in combat and training environments.

The unit also executed dismounted individual land navigation in support of ESB, BLC, and LTT, sharpening core Soldier skills and reinforcing confidence in terrain association, map reading, and movement techniques.

Staff leaders also conducted MDMP in support of C/142ND operations.

Additionally, leaders across the formation attended Iron Summit, hosted by the Division Command Sergeant Major and Commanding General, where they received insight on the current state of the division and guidance on priorities and expectations moving forward.
