Welcome to El Paso del Rio del Norte. This reconstruction of Fort Bliss at Magoffinsville was a gift from the city of El Paso in 1948. It's stated purpose was "To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Fort Bliss, thereby expressing the gratitude of our people for all the good things in life that have come our way as a result of its establishment." Have you always wanted to learn how to make wreaths and other arts and crafts? Well, look no further, our very own Old Fort Bliss Replica is now hosting Craft Workshops.
The workshops are every Wednesday from 2-4 PM, beginning December 3rd.
Workshops will feature discussions, displays and demonstrations. This event is free and is open to those ages 12 and above.

Celebrate the 66th anniversary of the Old Fort Bliss Replica during Old Fort Bliss Days Friday, November 7 through Saturday, November 8.
Events kick off with a flag retirement ceremony at 5pm on November 7. Learn about proper flag etiquette, and bring flags that need to be disposed of in the proper manner.
Saturday activities will run from 9am - 4pm and are dependent upon volunteer participation. Volunteers are needed to help make the event a success – if you’re interested in being a part of living history, visit facebook.com/oldfortbliss or call (915) 588-8482 to learn more about assisting.

Enjoy a spooky good time at the Haunted Pumpkin Patch! From 5-9 p.m. Friday, October 24, head to Old Fort Bliss for Halloween fun. The pumpkin patch opens at 5 p.m. and the ghost stories begin at 6:30 p.m.
Pumpkins are available on a first-come, first-served basis in exchange for donations to the museum. One pumpkin per child ages 3 and up. Children must be present to get a pumpkin.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket and cozy up by the fire pit, where there will be ghost stories for the kids. There will be face painting, food and beverages available for purchase and more.

On August 23 from 11am-3pm, watch historians reenact what life was like at Fort Bliss from 1853-1868. Participants can also visit Old Fort Bliss Replica’s 1850’s era shops and explore cooking, sewing, pottery, saddle making and blacksmithing as it was when El Paso was still on the nation’s frontier.
