The mural for the new public health clinic in the MCA area of El Paso is getting more beautiful day by day! Check out the amount of work that went into creating this stunning art mural in just one week.
This vivid piece was designed and being painted by local artist Babak Tavakoli, who was selected by the Museums and Cultural Affairs Department.
The mural incorporates “Alebrijes”, which are vibrant Mexican folk art, that can depict dreams, the subconscious, spiritual guides, and cultural identity, serving as protectors and symbols of imagination, while blending elements from dreams and nature.
The “Alebrijes” themed mural serves as a key visual component of the MCA Sun City Lights branding initiative. Very soon, this theme will expand to nearby Washington Park with interactive “Alebrijes” sculptures. Check back with us to see how this project develops.
