Through a generous $15,000 grant from Stewart Title, we were able to transform the home of Jorge Rodriguez, a wheelchair bound community member whose daily mobility was limited by structural barriers inside his own home.
With this funding, our team completed several critical accessibility upgrades:
• Wheelchair ramps were installed throughout the home, allowing Jorge to move safely and independently between entry points and living spaces.
• Doorways widened and converted into pocket doors to give Jorge smoother, unobstructed access from room to room.
• His bathroom underwent a full accessibility renovation, replacing the traditional tub with a roll in shower so he can enter safely with his wheelchair.
• The sink was replaced with a height appropriate, wheelchair friendly model to improve reach and usability.
These modifications have dramatically improved Jorge’s independence, comfort, and quality of life. Stewart Title’s support made it possible for him to navigate his home with dignity and freedom.
