Since 2013, the YMCA has served as the backbone organization for the Shift+ alcohol control initiative of the Paso del Norte Health Foundation. Guided by principles of collective impact, we lead regional alcohol policy advocacy efforts, build capacity for community-level advocacy, and provide training and technical assistance to people and organizations committed to reducing underage and binge drinking. Shift+ Goals:
Goal 1: Reduce underage drinking in the Paso del Norte region
Goal 2: Reduce binge drinking in all ages in the Paso del Norte region
Goal 3: Create environments that contribute to reductions in underage drinking, binge drinking, and associated harms.
