Congratulations to SGT Durham for being this week’s Leader of the Week!

On 19 February, 2021, some of Apache's Soldiers conducted the Norwegian Footmarch, which was sponsored by 1-37 AR through the Norwegian embassy.

Our Soldiers trained for two months, building up to the final event, which was 18.64 miles (30km). In total, our Soldiers individually walked over 70 miles in preparation for the event, and the event itself.

Congratulations to our Soldiers, and thank you to 1-37 AR for hosting the event!

We had the opportunity to recognize some of our Apache Troopers with a reenlistment ceremony with the Squadron Commander on top of the Organ Mountains National Monument. We are always proud of our Soldiers when they decide to continue service within the Army.

Last week Apache Troop had the honor of promoting PFC Anothny King to the rank of Specialist and 2LT Ryan O’Connell to the rank of First Lieutenant. With more rank comes with more responsibility and greater expectations. These Soldiers are well deserving for a promotion. Congratulations!

GUNNERY TABLE VI!

Apache Troop is on their final crew evaluation table. Essential conditions for crews to qualify are utilizing a fully operational Bradley and weapons, allotted ammunition, a certified vehicle crew evaluator, and full-scale targets. Given those conditions a crew must score a minimum of 700 out of 1,000 points overall (score 70 points or more on all targets on at least 7 out of 10 engagements, and at least one of those engagements must be shot at night). Crews have been working hard to prepare for this table and will test their lethality today and through the night.
