The last time a Bataan Memorial Death March was held at White Sands Missile Range, I was a Marcher, hoping that my boot selection would prevent me from being a patient at the MMU for a third year in a row. Four years and one global pandemic later, I witnessed, now from behind-the-scenes, 125 members of TX EMTF, BorderRAC, West Texas Medical Reserve Corps, American Red Cross, and all of our partner agencies return in full force to support BMDM Marchers at the finish line. Whether it was your first time supporting the March (like me), or your tenth time, I couldn’t have been prouder of everyone who united and served as One Team.

For the first time since the beginning of COVID, and for the first time since I've been here, the FOB is cleared of (the majority) of COVID response equipment/supplies, and the fleet is home where they belong.

It will have been three long years since the last time we got to support this event… LET’S GO!
