Our amazing Girl Scouts who sold 500+ packages of cookies earned an unforgettable adventure in Roswell, NM! 🚀✨

The girls had the opportunity to explore the town, participate in an exciting Lego Derby car race, and spend the night at the Roswell Program Center alongside fellow Girl Scouts.

We also made some fun stops at the UFO Museum and even the famous UFO McDonald’s—because what’s a trip to Roswell without a little extraterrestrial fun? 👽

From meeting new friends and inviting others to join in their games, to building creative Lego derby cars and making lasting memories in their tents, this trip was full of laughter, teamwork, and adventure.

They truly had an incredible time, and we are so proud of all they accomplished! 💚

Check out some pictures from our out-of-this-world adventure! 📸

Great job ladies!

Animal Rescue League would like to thank Girl Scout Troop 64201 for spending their Saturday morning with us! 💚🙏

They toured our shelter, learned about responsible pet ownership, pet safety and had time left to play with a couple of our furry friends! 🐶🥳

It was great meeting you all, and thank you for the supplies! 🐾🤗

When Juliette Gordon Low founded the Girl Scouts in Savannah, she dreamed of a place where every girl could grow brave and confident. But in Savannah, that door didn’t open for Black girls until 1941—when the city welcomed its first African American Girl Scout troop.
Among the girls invited was Barbara Wilbourne. She didn’t just wear the uniform; she carried the mission forward. Barbara grew into a Girl Scout leader, guiding campfire circles, first badges, and those wobbly-but-brave first steps into leadership. Her original pin and membership card—quiet, shining witnesses—now rest at the Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace and the First Girl Scout Headquarters, a national historic landmark. They’re small objects with a big story: progress made girl by girl, troop by troop.
For more than a century, Girl Scouts have pushed past limits—selling cookies, yes, but also learning to hike, code, vote, and lift others as they climb. The legacy of Savannah’s first African American troop reminds us that inclusion isn’t a slogan; it’s a choice we make again and again.
If a single troop could change a city’s story, imagine what today’s girls can change next. Open the circle wider. Make room at the table. Let every girl lead—and watch the future blossom. 🌿

We were truly blessed to have met such a beautiful lady who became our guest speaker for our Girl Scout troop beginning in 2015. Each year, she graciously joined us to share her journey with breast cancer, reminding the girls of the importance of awareness and knowing our bodies. Her words and presence left a lasting impact on all of us.

We are deeply saddened by her passing, but we know she is now at peace with the Lord in heaven. She will be dearly missed.

Her favorite animal was the butterfly, and she often wore bright, cheerful colors that reflected her joyful spirit. We were honored to walk alongside her in the Making Strides Against Cancer Walk in 2019, and through her, we also connected to the story of our Girl Scout founder, Juliette Gordon Low, who faced her own battle with breast cancer. She helped us understand the importance of early detection and awareness.

We will always remember her beautiful smile, her joyous laughter, her radiant spirit, and her unwaveringly positive attitude. May God bless her family and surround them with comfort during this difficult time.
