Congratulations to the 58 Cavalry Troopers who earned their silver spurs during Heavy Cav’s November Spur Ride!

This morning, motivated Heavy Cav Troopers conducted a 6-mile ruck march as we prepare for the upcoming Spur Ride.

Over 100 family members attended the Heavy Cav Gunnery Family Day. Families enjoyed an opportunity to experience life as a Cavalry Trooper and also witnessed an aerial gunnery demonstration!

Lastly, 19 brave kids completed all 6 events to earn their coveted Kid Spurs!

Recently Heavy Cav bid farewell to one of our most senior leaders, CW3 Jimmy Cowart, prior to his PCS. Jimmy served as the Squadron Standardization Pilot, Master Gunner, and Senior Warrant Officer Adviser. Upon his departure Jimmy was inducted into the Bronze Honorable Order of St Michael. Good luck in your future endeavors, Jimmy!
