Today, we celebrate the life and legacy of Hal Marcus on what would have been his 75th birthday. 🎨✨

For more than five decades, Hal inspired our community through his art, mentorship, and belief in the power of creativity to bring people together. In honor of his legacy, the Hal Marcus Art Foundation will continue supporting public art, arts education, cultural preservation, and future generations of artists throughout the Borderland.

As Hal often said: "Do what you love, and do it every day."

To honor his life and legacy, make a gift today ✨

Successful fundraising starts long before the ask. In Session 3 of Power, Purpose & Plan, Dr. Andrea Tawney focused on cultivation, including building meaningful donor-centered relationships through active listening, trust, and mutual understanding.

From connecting prospects with mission experiences to leveraging influencers as matchmakers, participants explored strategies for creating authentic engagement. Participants learned that cultivation is the “dating phase” of fundraising, where strong relationships are built, and long-term generosity begins.

Big things continue to happen for the Downtown Deck Plaza project. 🐾

We’re honored to celebrate CASA Auto Group’s generous $1 million investment supporting the future dog park space, “Home of the Nice Pups.” Their leadership and commitment to El Paso’s future help bring this community-driven vision one step closer to reality.

Partnerships like this are helping create welcoming public spaces that will serve families, residents, and visitors for generations to come. Thank you, CASA Auto Group, for helping build momentum for the future of downtown El Paso.

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Their sacrifice has made it possible for communities like ours to grow, thrive, and come together in meaningful ways. We are deeply grateful for their courage and commitment.

As we reflect this Memorial Day, we also hold close the families, loved ones, and communities who carry their legacy forward.

💡 Today’s donors want more than a fundraising appeal; they want connection, purpose, and impact.

To stay relevant, nonprofits should focus on messaging that is:
✔️ Impact-driven
✔️ Personal and human-centered
✔️ Clear and concise
✔️ Consistent year-round
✔️ Tailored to their audience

At the Paso del Norte Community Foundation, supporting nonprofit capacity building means helping organizations strengthen donor engagement, stewardship, and communication strategies that build long-term sustainability and impact across our region.
