3rd BN 133rd FAR had an outstanding 2025 Annual Training. After remediating administrative tasks, and conducting maintenance and inventories, we got in the dirt to train on our Artillery craft.

Soldiers accomplished an Artillery Skills Proficiency Test, and Cannon Crews and Fire Direction Centers trained through Artillery Table IV.
The Fire Support team certified over 20 Forward Observers through their Table VI.

The staff conducted a Staff Exercise by receiving a 56IBCT Operations Order and worked through the Military Decision Making Process to publish a Battalion Operations Order for the Batteries’ Culminating Training Exercise.

Fire Support Teams, Fired Direction Centers and Cannon Crews established and exercised digital fires for an effective kill chain and fires mission processing.

We conducted a motivating Battalion Run that increased esprit de corps and unit pride.

We held a Hail and Farewell dinner where we hailed 1SG Buddy Robinson (incoming A BTRY 1SG) and said farewell to 1SG Normanson Mobel (outgoing A BTRY 1SG) and MAJ Trey Neufeld (outgoing BN S3 Officer).

The 56IBCT Commander, COL Brent Kemp, visited our training activities and recognized 2LT Amairani Giner, who was wounded in the line of duty as an El Paso Police Department Officer and fought through the gunshot wound where she displayed the utmost Warrior Ethos and resiliency.

We finished off Annual Training by awarding the numerous Soldiers’ hard work and accomplishments and held a fantastic Family Day of fun and fellowship.

The Gunslingers are now the most trained they have been in over 7 years and are motivated to continue improving and increasing their skills and lethality.
