🥹💔 **SPOTLIGHT OF THE WEEK: LU NEEDS HER FOREVER HOME NOW!** 💔🥹
Those eyes… that sweet face… and a heart that is still waiting for someone to choose her. 🐾❤️
Meet **Lu**, a beautiful 2-year-old Lab mix weighing around 45–50 pounds. Lu came to us at the beginning of the year after being found as a stray, and somehow, after all these months, her forever family still hasn’t found her. 😔
Lu is a sweet, adventurous girl who is ready to experience everything life has to offer! 🌿🐶 She loves playing with toys, going for walks, and exploring the world around her. She has so much love and personality to share, and we know someone out there would be lucky to call her theirs.
💕 **A LITTLE ABOUT LU:**
🐾 2 years old
🐾 45–50 pounds
🐾 Gorgeous eyes that will steal your heart
🐾 Sweet, playful, and adventurous
🐾 Loves toys and going on walks
🐾 Dog-friendly with dogs who respect her space
🐾 Needs a home WITHOUT cats
Lu can live with other dogs, but she doesn't want them constantly in her face. She would do best with a canine companion who respects her boundaries or as the only dog soaking up all the love! ❤️
💔 **PLEASE READ: OUR SHELTER IS AT A BREAKING POINT.**
We need to be honest with our community. Moving forward, we will no longer be able to keep dogs for over a year. This is not a decision we want to make, and it breaks our hearts to even have to say it.
We have a long list of animals waiting to be picked up, many of whom are in desperate need of help. But when our kennels stay full, we have nowhere to bring them. We cannot continue helping the animals in our county if we have no room to take them in.
**This is not just a shelter problem. It is a community problem, and we need our community now more than ever.** 💔
Spaying and neutering pets, adopting instead of shopping, and rescues stepping up to pull animals from our facility are all critical to making a difference. Without these efforts, we simply cannot keep up with the number of animals who need us.
We do not want Lu, or any of the other dogs who have been waiting patiently for a family, to lose their chance at a home. We want them to leave through our front doors with a family to love them, not because we have run out of time and space.
🥺 **Lu has been waiting for months. Please don't let her become another dog who gets overlooked until it's too late.**
She deserves a soft bed, a family to come home to, adventures with her favorite person, toys scattered across her living room, and someone who chooses her for the rest of her life.
Could that person be YOU? ❤️
🏡 **PLEASE CONSIDER ADOPTING LU!** If you cannot adopt, please share her post. If you are a rescue, please consider helping us find placement for our long-term residents. Every adoption, every rescue pull, and every share matters.

**We cannot do this alone. Our animals need our community to stand beside them. Let's get Lu HOME.** 🐾❤️
