Elbert County is now accepting applications for Full-Time Paramedic and AEMTs

Applicants must be currently certified by the Department of Community Health and must have all certifications that support paramedic or AEMT licensing. Work Ready certification is preferred but not required. A copy of the job descriptions, as well as applications may be picked up at the EMS administrative offices at 112 Mahoney Drive, Elberton, GA.

These are the moments that remind us why we come back to the chaos, shift after shift.

On September 10, 2026, little Miss Emersyn Gibson suffered a horrific accident. Her survival and incredible progress are nothing short of a miracle. This was one of those once-in-a-career calls that will stay with everyone involved forever.

We are beyond grateful to have played a part in helping this precious little girl.

On October 7th, Emersyn and her mom, Abby, stopped by our station to visit with some of the responders who cared for her that day. Seeing her sweet face and getting to spend a few minutes with them meant more to us than words can express.

In this line of work, we don’t always get to see the happy endings. But when we do, they remind us why we do what we do.

Keep fighting, sweet Emersyn! We are all cheering you on and wishing you continued healing and a full recovery!

Another great job by our EMS-A crew!

Today, our team administered lifesaving plasma in the field to a patient in need. Moments like these remind us just how important the care provided before a patient ever reaches the hospital truly is.

We are incredibly proud of our crews and the knowledge, skill, and compassion they bring to every call.
So much training and dedication go into providing this level of care right here in our own community. It’s about bringing advanced, lifesaving care to our neighbors when they need it most.

We are blessed to have such dedicated professionals serving our community. Great job, A crew!
