🚒🔥 What a great start to Fire Prevention Week!

First, a HUGE thank you to everyone who stopped by our Open House on Saturday! We had such a great time catching up with our community, meeting new faces, and showing off a little of what we do every day!

And we’re only halfway through the week! Our crews have been busy welcoming friends to the station for tours, fire safety lessons, and of course, a chance to check out the fire trucks! 🚒

We love seeing the excitement on their faces and having the opportunity to teach our youngest community members about fire safety.

Thanks to everyone who has helped make this week so much fun! ❤️

We could not be happier to announce that FF/PM Zak Martinez is in remission and back with his crew! 🚒

Through six months of chemotherapy for Hodgkin’s lymphoma, Zak never lost the positive spirit we all know him for. Seeing him healthy and back at the station means so much to all of us.

To everyone who supported Zak, wore a shirt, and/or came out to the fundraiser: Thank you! You showed up for one of our own, and we felt it. This is what makes our community so strong.

Welcome back, Zak. ❤️ 💪 🔥

🌽 HARVEST SEASON IS HERE! 🚜

As harvest gets underway, expect to see more slow-moving farm equipment traveling our rural roads. A little patience and extra attention behind the wheel can make a big difference.

When sharing the road with farm equipment:
• Slow down and leave plenty of following distance.
• Avoid passing near hills, curves, intersections, or field entrances.
• Watch for wide turns and equipment that may cross the centerline.
• Be patient — getting there a few minutes later is always better than taking an unnecessary risk.

Our farmers are working hard this time of year, and many of them are moving large equipment from field to field on the same roads we travel every day.

🚜 Slow down. Stay alert. Share the road.
Look twice. Arrive safe.
