Healthy Mustangs Welcome! I will do my best to keep you all updated with healthy tips and tricks. Hello! I have approximately 550 students and over 50 staff in my building.

Most of you already know me, but for anyone who is new to the school or district -- Hello!! I am Nurse Lyndsey and I will be taking care of you kiddos this year! :) I've been a nurse in this building for 10 years now. As you can probably guess, my days are filled with lots of icepacks and Band-Aids! I am responsible for providing healthcare to students and staff with acute and chronic health problems. Aside from the normal day-to-day injuries or sudden ailments, I also conduct yearly screenings on each student and then provide referrals to those students who need additional health services. I am responsible for ensuring yearly immunization compliance for each student so I spend a lot of time on the phone with parents or physicians' offices regarding student records. Good communication is key! I am also responsible for communicating with parents and physicians to develop and monitor individual health plans for students to ensure the best and safest outcome for these students while in my care at school. If you have any questions, feel free to call me during normal school hours or send me a message on here and I will do my best to get back to you!

💉 Parents, need to check your child’s immunization record?

The Docket app makes it easy! 📱 You can view your child’s Missouri immunization records right from your phone.

As we head through the school year, it’s a great time to make sure your child’s records are up to date. If your child recently received vaccines, be sure to check that their record has been updated.

🩺 More Than Just an Ice Pack! 🩹
Today is National School Nurse Day, and we wanted to take a moment to celebrate the incredible work happening right here in our school clinics!

Being a school nurse is about so much more than checking temperatures. It’s about:

Advocating for every student's health and safety.

Managing chronic conditions so kids can stay in the classroom.

Bridging the gap between healthcare and education.

Providing a smile (and maybe a sticker) when a student is having a tough day.

We love being the "healthy heart" of our schools. To our students and families: Thank you for trusting us with your care!

To our fellow nurses: We see your hard work, your expertise, and your compassion. Happy School Nurse Day! ❤️✨

# # **Beyond the Books & Lesson Plans...** 🍎✨
Happy **Teacher Appreciation Week**!
As the school nurse, we get a unique "behind-the-scenes" look at what it takes to be an educator. We see you wiping away tears, celebrating the "lightbulb" moments, and showing up with boundless energy (and maybe an extra cup of coffee) every single morning.
You don't just teach—you mentor, you inspire, and you care for the "whole child" in a way that truly changes lives. This week, we want to make sure you know how much **you** are valued and supported.
**Let’s shower our teachers with some love!** Leave a "❤️" or a "Thank You" in the comments to let our staff know they’re doing an amazing job!
