🎀 MCAD Goes Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month! 🎀

You may have noticed some of our Miller County Ambulance District crews wearing something a little different this month!

Throughout the month of October, our crews have the opportunity to wear our Breast Cancer Awareness shirts. These shirts feature a special design different from our traditional uniform shirts and, of course, include pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month! 💗

A big thank you to some of our Red Shift crew members for so kindly modeling the shirts for this photo! 🚑🎀

We are proud to show our support for those currently battling breast cancer, celebrate the survivors, and remember those we have lost.

Thank you to all of our dedicated MCAD employees for everything you do each day, and as always, thank you to our community for your continued support of Miller County Ambulance District! 💗🚑

🚑 TEAMWORK IN ACTION 🚑

This week, several Miller County Ambulance District crews came together to provide care during a critical, high-acuity call.

A big thank you to MCAD Unit 4, MCAD Unit 2, and the MCAD Chief of Operations in the Quick Response Vehicle (QRV) for your dedication, professionalism, and teamwork during this challenging call.

We would also like to extend a BIG thank you to our public safety and healthcare partners who assisted:

🚒 Moreau Fire Protection District
🚓 Miller County Deputies
📞 Miller County E-911 Dispatchers
🚁 Phelps Air

Calls like this are a great reminder of just how important teamwork is in emergency services. When EMS, fire, law enforcement, dispatch, and air medical crews work together, it helps operations run smoothly and allows us to provide the best possible care for our patients.

We are grateful for all of our dedicated crews and partner agencies who work together every day to serve Miller County.

We are incredibly grateful to the voters who placed their trust and support in MCAD. Your support helps us continue to answer the call and serve our communities when we are needed most.

We would also like to thank our dedicated employees who work every day to provide exceptional care to our communities.

🚑 HANDS-ON TRAINING AT MCAD 🫁

Today, Miller County Ambulance District welcomed the MU Sim Lab to Station 1 in Eldon for respiratory emergency training!

Our crews had the opportunity to train using high-fidelity patient simulators, which provide realistic scenarios and allow our providers to practice critical skills in a controlled environment.

Today’s training focused on the assessment, treatment, and management of both adult and pediatric respiratory patients. Training opportunities like this are extremely valuable and help ensure our crews are prepared when seconds matter and our patients need us most.

A huge thank you to the MU Sim Lab team for traveling to MCAD and providing another excellent day of hands-on education!

We would also like to thank all of our on-duty and off-duty crew members who participated today. Your dedication to continuing education and improving your skills directly benefits the patients and communities we serve.

And, as always, thank you to our community for your continued support of Miller County Ambulance District! 🚑💙

Training today. Prepared for tomorrow. Ready when you need us.

As we head into the weekend, there are lots of events happening throughout Miller County, which means increased traffic and more people out enjoying the area. Please be safe, stay alert, and watch out for motorcycles! 🏍️

🇺🇸 September 11, 2001 — Never Forget 🇺🇸

Today, Miller County Ambulance District takes time to remember the September 11, 2001, attacks on our nation.

For so many Americans, it is a day we remember exactly where we were and what we were doing—a day that forever changed our country.

Today, we remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost. We remember the families who said goodbye to loved ones who were simply going to work, traveling, or going about their daily lives, never knowing what that morning would bring.

We especially remember the firefighters, EMS personnel, law enforcement officers, dispatchers, and other first responders who ran toward the danger while others were running away. They answered the call knowing it could be the last thing they would ever do.

Twenty-five years later, their courage, sacrifice, and service have not been forgotten.

We also recognize and thank our dedicated MCAD staff members working today and every day to serve our community.

Thank you to our community for your continued support of Miller County Ambulance District.

As you go about your day, we ask that you take a moment to remember those we lost 25 years ago today, their families, and all those whose lives were forever changed.

🇺🇸 September 11, 2001 — Never Forget. 🇺🇸

🚁 Training Today with Phelps Air! 🚑

Today, Miller County Ambulance District’s on-duty crews had the privilege of traveling to Tuscumbia for some valuable training with Phelps Air!

Three of our on-duty crews have orientees with them today, giving our newest team members the opportunity to learn firsthand about helicopter operations, landing zone safety, patient loading, and working alongside air medical crews.

Training opportunities like this are extremely valuable. When the need arises to utilize an air medical helicopter, our ground crews need to be prepared to work safely and efficiently alongside the flight crew to provide our patients with the best possible care.

🚑🤝🚁 Teamwork and training are essential to smooth operations and quality patient care!

A big THANK YOU to Phelps Air for taking the time to train with our crews and provide this opportunity!

We also want to thank our dedicated MCAD crews for continuing to learn, train, and prepare for whatever the next call may bring.

Thank you to our community for your continued support of Miller County Ambulance District! 🚑💙

Over the past few weeks, Miller County Ambulance District has been busy—not only responding to 911 emergencies, but also serving our communities at local events across the county!

🚑 Saturday, July 25, 2026
Unit 3, staffed by Jamie L., NREMT and Josh D., NRP, provided EMS coverage for the St. Anthony Tractor Pull. Despite the summer heat, it was a great evening filled with community spirit and plenty of fun!

🎡 That same weekend, Unit 4 was on hand providing coverage at the St. Elizabeth Picnic, helping ensure everyone could enjoy the festivities safely.

🎉 Saturday, August 1, 2026
QRV 1 (Quick Response Vehicle), staffed by Jess W., NREMT and Stacie J., NREMT, attended the Tuscumbia Picnic and Celebration as the community celebrated 100 years of history. Congratulations to the City of Tuscumbia on this incredible milestone! We were honored to be part of the celebration and look forward to the next 100 years.

Many people ask if our crews are taken out of service while attending these events. The answer is no. Our on-duty crews remain fully in service and ready to respond to 911 emergencies at a moment’s notice. Being present at these community events allows us to interact with the public, provide immediate medical assistance if needed, and continue serving our response areas without interruption.

Thank you to our dedicated crews for their professionalism and commitment, and thank you to the citizens of Miller County for your continued support of the Miller County Ambulance District. We are proud to serve this community—both during emergencies and at the events that bring us all together.

🚑 Training Through Partnership 🚒

Last week, Miller County Ambulance District Unit 2 had the opportunity to train with the crews from Osage Beach Fire Protection District during an ambulance familiarization session.

A special thank you to Battalion Chief Raymond P., Paramedic, and Jacob R., EMT, for taking the time out of their day to share their knowledge and help strengthen the partnership between our agencies.

Training together builds confidence, improves communication, and ensures we’re all prepared to work seamlessly when responding to emergencies. When public safety agencies train together, every scene runs more efficiently—and ultimately provides better service to the citizens we serve.

Thank you to the Osage Beach Fire Protection District for your continued partnership and support of MCAD. We look forward to many more opportunities to train and serve alongside you!
