We want to thank our dedicated participants and judges for helping us to continue putting on our annual Pig Roast with the Police. Although the weather proved to be a challenge at points, we had lots of delicious food presented. All proceeds will benefit the Eldora Police Department Foundation and assist us in purchasing equipment that we may otherwise be unable to afford.

Thank you also to the community members that came out and supported us!

The winners for each category are as follows and are pictured below:

Appetizers: Soggy Beaver BBQ
BBQ Beans: Soggy Beaver BBQ
Pork Loin: Dirty Pigs BBQ
Pork Ribs: Dirty Pigs BBQ
Pork Butt: Dirty Pigs BBQ

We hope to see everyone again next year and if you missed us this year you can get your team together for next year as well!

We also want to thank our generous sponsors:

Oakridge Real Estate - Gabby Mitchell

🚔 Impaired drivers are on our roadways at all hours of the day, not just late at night. Staying alert and aware of your surroundings can help keep you and others safe. 🚔

On Wednesday around 3:30 p.m., the department investigated a report of a driver traveling through residential yards. The driver was located heavily intoxicated behind the wheel and was arrested.

Today around 1:30 p.m., the department investigated another report of a driver operating on the curb and nearly striking both a vehicle and a pedestrian. Following the investigation, the driver was also arrested for operating while intoxicated

Please stay alert and aware of your surroundings. If you see dangerous or suspicious driving, call 911. Your report could save lives.

The students brought the speed, the staff brought the energy, and the Captain brought the pink drink.
