Here is an event you don't want to miss! As many of you know, our Watauga Lake cleanup last year was canceled due to Hurricane Helene. Despite numerous cleanup efforts, many lake banks and shorelines still have debris on them. Cleaning this up will require many hands. We need your help to make our lake beautiful again! See you there!

Here is some great information for our businesses located in the County. On the inspection level, we see this regularly. Remember, anything put into the stormwater drains will also drain to our creeks and rivers.

Dumpster placement can be a problem when it comes to stormwater management. If one is placed too close to a storm drain, leakage from the dumpster can seep into our stormwater and be transported to nearby streams or lakes.

It is important for businesses to place their dumpsters away from all storm drains.
