The Tennessee Society of the Children of the American Revolution will be dedicating a monument to honor the child soldiers of the American Revolution tomorrow, June 6th, at 2:00 pm.

The public is invited to attend this dedication ceremony at Mack and Nancy Cooke Family Park. This park is located right off the Tweetsie Trail, across from Sycamore Shoals at 1788 W. Elk Ave. Please be aware that parking is limited and carpooling is highly recommended.

Are you ready for a red, white, and blue summer? πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ˜Ž

We're excited to announce part one of Elizabethton 250: Foundations of Freedom. Now through July 4, you and your family will have the opportunity to join community events every week that celebrate our country's heritage.

Stay tuned for part two's schedule to release at the end of June, which will feature events from July through November. Also be sure to check out our partners' additional programming and events planned throughout the year.

Every Friday and Saturday in June, Sycamore Shoals State Historic Park will perform Liberty: The Saga of Sycamore Shoals.

On June 6, Children of the American Revolution will dedicate a monument at Mack and Nancy Cooke Family Park.

Every night from June 22-July 5, Bonnie Kate Theater will show a patriotic-themed movie.

On June 26, City of Elizabethton Parks and Recreation will host a Movie in the Park at Kiwanis Park featuring "Hamilton".

July 3 is Downtown Elizabethton's First Friday: Hometown Vibes.

On July 4 starting at 4 p.m., an Independence Day Celebration will rock the streets and sidewalks from Covered Bridge Park to Elk Avenue and beyond. A parade will march through downtown at 6 p.m. and fireworks will start around 9:30 p.m.

More details will be released ahead of each event.

Rhonda Vincent is coming to Elizabethton! Join us at Bluegrass Jamboree 2026 featuring Rhonda Vincent on Saturday, June 13 at 6 PM at Covered Bridge Park.

Widely recognized as the β€œQueen of Bluegrass,” Rhonda Vincent is celebrated for her powerful vocals, masterful multi-instrumental talent, and electric live performances. Performing alongside her long-time band The Rage, audiences can expect tight harmonies and elite-level musicianship that define modern bluegrass excellence.

Elizabethton Parks & Recreation is proud to host talent of Vincent’s caliber and to bring an artist of her reputation to a free live bluegrass event accessible to residents and visitors alike. Boone and Church will kick off the night, followed by Rhonda Vincent and the Rage. Bring a chair or blanket and get ready for a great night of bluegrass!

πŸ€ The 2026 Women's Open Basketball League has come to an end with Wasted Potential coming out on top in the regular season championship and the Alley Oops coming in second. πŸ€

πŸ† For the tournament championship, Flight Squad took home the winning trophy and Wasted Potential came in second.

Meagan Lyons from Flight Squad was the top points leader and Torrie Roberts from Glory Daze was the three-point leader.

Congratulations to these ladies and we thank everyone who participated in our 2026 Women's Basketball Open League!
