We loved celebrating the Peddlers Emporium yesterday with a ribbon cutting! ✂️🥳

Congrats to Hailey Bailey who is the proud new owner of the Peddler's Emporium. ❤️ Hailey has been with the shop since it opened in early 2025 and became the official owner at the start of 2026. She continues to grow the shop as a great spot downtown, featuring 20+ vendors with antiques, vintage finds, home décor, and more. 🛍️

We’re excited to see Hailey continue growing the Peddler’s Emporium that serves as a welcoming entrance into our downtown district! 👏 Check it and find your own treasures at 300 E Elk Avenue Mon - Sat from 10:30 AM - 5:30 PM.

Are you ready for a red, white, and blue summer? 🇺🇸😎

We're excited to announce part one of Elizabethton 250: Foundations of Freedom. Now through July 4, you and your family will have the opportunity to join community events every week that celebrate our country's heritage.

Stay tuned for part two's schedule to release at the end of June, which will feature events from July through November. Also be sure to check out our partners' additional programming and events planned throughout the year.

Every Friday and Saturday in June, Sycamore Shoals State Historic Park will perform Liberty: The Saga of Sycamore Shoals.

On June 6, Children of the American Revolution will dedicate a monument at Mack and Nancy Cooke Family Park.

Every night from June 22-July 5, Bonnie Kate Theater will show a patriotic-themed movie.

On June 26, City of Elizabethton Parks and Recreation will host a Movie in the Park at Kiwanis Park featuring "Hamilton".

July 3 is Downtown Elizabethton's First Friday: Hometown Vibes.

On July 4 starting at 4 p.m., an Independence Day Celebration will rock the streets and sidewalks from Covered Bridge Park to Elk Avenue and beyond. A parade will march through downtown at 6 p.m. and fireworks will start around 9:30 p.m.

More details will be released ahead of each event.
