📚 Great Books. Growing Minds. Bright Futures!

Who says teenagers don't love a good book?! ❤️📖

At Hope Academy for Kids, we're helping our students discover that reading is so much more than words on a page. It's an opportunity to explore new worlds, spark imagination, strengthen critical thinking, and discover possibilities beyond what they already know!

And thanks to some AMAZING donors, our students have plenty of new adventures waiting for them!

A HUGE thank you to those who generously purchase books from our requested reading lists. Your kindness is doing more than filling bookshelves; you're opening doors, inspiring curiosity, and investing in the futures of our students!

And judging by these smiles, we'd say they're pretty excited about it! 📚💙

Great stories have the power to shape great futures. Thank you for helping us turn the page toward both!

🍫 Life is like a box of chocolates… you never know what you’re gonna get!

And sometimes, you HIT THE JACKPOT! 🎉💛

This sweet HAFK student struck GOLD during a recent shopping trip to our Anchor’d Boutique, and that smile says it ALL!

One of our favorite things about the Boutique is watching students discover unexpected treasures that bring BIG smiles and even bigger excitement!

But the real treasure? Creating moments that remind our students they are valued, celebrated, and loved. 💙

Want to be part of making moments like these possible? We'd love to have you involved!

💛 Wednesdays are full of LIFE at HAFK Hodgenville!

Every Wednesday, our elementary students gather at First Baptist Church for an afternoon filled with learning, laughter, meaningful relationships, and something at the heart of everything we do, JESUS! 🙌

With the help of dedicated adult volunteers and incredible teen mentors, our students are surrounded by people who consistently show up, build relationships, and remind them just how much they matter.

But there's something even greater happening in those moments.

At Hope Academy for Kids, sharing the Gospel isn't just part of our programming. It's the foundation of our purpose. ❤️

Through Faith Time and the relationships built each week, our students are reminded that they are known, loved, valued, and created by God for a purpose.

We're so thankful for every volunteer, mentor, and community partner who helps make Wednesdays in Hodgenville so special!

Because we're not just investing in what our kids are learning today. We're investing in who they're becoming tomorrow. 💛

🎃 Tiny hands. Big pumpkins. Even bigger imaginations!

Our littlest learners celebrated the season with a little paint, a lot of creativity, and pumpkins ready to become one-of-a-kind masterpieces!

At Hope Academy for Kids, we love creating opportunities for our students to learn, explore, create, laugh; and simply enjoy being kids. ❤️

Sometimes the sweetest moments of learning happen with a paintbrush in hand and a pumpkin on the table.

Learning that matters goes far beyond the classroom. 💙

Our middle and high school students recently welcomed the Kentucky State Police and Trooper Bryan Washer to Hope Academy for Kids for a special night of hands-on learning!

Students toured the KSP Mobile Substance Abuse Education Unit, where they learned about the real-life dangers and consequences of substance abuse through an interactive experience designed to educate, engage, and empower.

The visit was part of our ongoing Youth Safety Curriculum this semester. We want our students to have more than information—we want them equipped with the knowledge and life skills they need to make safe, healthy choices when those choices matter most.

We’re incredibly thankful for community partners who come alongside us and invest in the next generation.

Thank you, Kentucky State Police and Trooper Washer, for giving your time, expertise, and resources to our students! 🚔💙

WOW!! Our community showed up and served BIG! 🙌

Hope Academy for Kids was incredibly blessed by 30+ volunteers from local churches during UNLEASHED TO SERVE, a day dedicated to serving throughout our community.

And when we say they served, we mean it. 💪

They cleaned classrooms, tackled outdoor projects, cooked 60 POUNDS of hamburger (yes, 60! 🍔), and filled our outreach and field trip bags with handwritten notes of encouragement for our kids.

Every project completed, every bag packed, every note written, and every hour given was an investment in the kids and families we serve.

To every volunteer who rolled up your sleeves and jumped in wherever you were needed: thank you. Your generosity made a BIG difference at Hope Academy.

UNLEASHED indeed! 💛

💙 A day of caring. A lasting impact.

We are incredibly grateful for the 10 amazing local LG&E and KU volunteers who spent their morning serving at Hope Academy for Kids as part of Day of Caring!

They brought their time, talents, and willingness to jump in wherever needed—and the work they accomplished will continue to serve our students and families long after the day itself.

And while we were grateful for the opportunity to host them, their team shared some kind words about HAFK, too:

"One of the volunteers said Hope Academy for Kids was TOP NOTCH. They said you were organized, had plenty of achievable assignments for them, and were wonderful hosts."

That's what a great community partnership looks like: people showing up, working together, and using what they have to make a difference for kids.

THANK YOU to our friends at LG&E and KU for choosing to spend your Day of Caring with HAFK. We loved having you—and we'd be honored to do it again next year! 💙

Every choice has a consequence, and every decision has the power to shape what comes next.

We kicked off our Youth Safety Curriculum at Hope Academy for Kids with relevant, real-world conversations designed to equip our middle and high school students to make wise, informed decisions.

A huge thank you to Mr. Rudy Garcia with Hardin County Schools for sharing a strong and timely message with our students about a truth that reaches far beyond the classroom:

CHOICES bring CONSEQUENCES.

At HAFK, we want our students to understand that their choices matter, their futures matter, and they have the power to make decisions today that help build a stronger tomorrow.

💙 Community, connection, and a shared commitment to making a difference.

We were grateful for the opportunity to showcase Hope Academy for Kids at the Hardin County Chamber of Commerce September Luncheon & Volunteer Expo!

It was a wonderful chance to share the HAFK mission, connect with others who care deeply about our community, and celebrate alongside as they mark 25 years of local impact! 🎉

When people come together to serve, give, and invest in their community, incredible things can happen. We’re honored to be part of a community that continues to show up for kids and families. 💙
