When you dial 9-1-1, one of the ways first responders look for you is by finding your address on your mailbox! The best way to help us is to have a green, reflective sign with white letters mounted either vertically or horizontally to your mailbox/post. If you do not have one or need a new one, there are several places to get one.
Places such as Amazon, Menards, Lowes, etc often carry them
or
You can visit us or call us and for $25, have the Fire Department make you one!

Other ways to help is keep weeds or bushes around your mailboxes trimmed back, keep clear of trash/debris, and keep snow off and away from them.

Osolo Fire and EMS department is asking that you avoid the area of Wilson and Glenmore in Osolo township. Due to a major gas leak NIPSCO is on scene with engineers dealing with the problem this is an ongoing situation currently in Osolo township please avoid the area thank you.

‼️PUBLIC NOTICE‼️

This Sunday, September 13, members of Osolo Fire & EMS as well as other local agencies will be conducting a training on Simonton Lake. This training will be primarily focused on the South side of the lake near Flippin Cow, but be aware of members across the entire lake as multiple boats and personnel will be involved in this training. We appreciate your understanding and ask that if you plan on being on the lake or near there, to be alert and stay clear for everyone’s safety.

On this day, September 11 2026, we remember the tragedy which occurred 25 years ago. A tragedy in which countless innocent lives were lost. A day that shaped not only the United States, but the entire world. A day in which we never forget.
On this day, 2,977 people would tragically parish.

- 2,753 souls at the World Trade Center, including 343 FDNY Firefighters and Paramedics, 37 Port Authority Officers, and 23 New York City Police Officers; 92 would be on Americans Airlines Flight 11 and 65 would be from United Airlines Flight 175
- 184 souls at the Pentagon; 59 would be on American Airlines Flight 77
- 40 souls as several heroic passengers on United Airlines Flight 93 attempted to retake the plane

We ask that you join us in remembering not only all of these individuals, but also all of those that would sadly pass as a result of this day. Whether it be from illnesses acquired while aiding in rescue and clean up efforts at Ground Zero, or while serving in combat as a member of our armed forces, or sadly losing the battle to mental health from events endured during or after that fateful day. We remember you all, and we will never forget.

We’d like to extend an even bigger thank you to everyone who donated today and helped us raise over $5,000! It would be an understatement to say this was a successful year and we look forward to seeing everyone again at the next one!

Hello everyone! We are excited to announce that on Saturday, September 5, ourselves and other area departments will be partaking in the annual MDA Roof Sit at Elkhart Indian Motorcycle! Come help get not only our chief, but other area chiefs off the roof as we raise money for MDA! This is a great event and each year is a better and bigger turnout so let’s keep that trend going. The event starts at 9:00 am and goes until we get everyone off the roof! Come out to see the fire trucks and motorcycles, meet the firefighters, and help raise money for an amazing cause! Spread the word and we look forward to seeing everyone!

We are happy to announce we are accepting applications for the following positions;

Full-Time/Part-Time EMT-B:
If you are a Nationaly Registered or State certified EMT (or higher), here is a great opportunity. We are accepting applications for a full-time spot and part-time spot(s) on our ambulances at Station 2!

Part-Time FF/EMT-B:
We also are accepting part-time applications from anyone who is a FF/EMT-B. This position is for our Station 1!

If you or anyone you may know is interested, let them know and give us a shout! Feel free to call or stop by either station if you have any questions.

We’d like to give a big shoutout and congratulations to one of our members, Ernest McClain for recently passing their National Registry to become a certified EMT-B! Just a few more steps to complete and FF McClain will be a certified EMT in Elkhart County ready to serve the residents of Osolo Township! Congrats Ernie and thank you for all your hard work and dedication!
