The Bridge Food and Diaper Bank Please donate @ thebridgewalco.org to help us make sure no one goes hungry in Walworth County. As a bank we support 16 Walworth County pantries.

As a pantry, we supply food, diapers, incontinence products, and period supplies to Walworth County residents. With a group of Boy Scouts pulling their wagons, we opened as a food pantry on May 2nd, 2009. At present, as a food pantry, we serve around 500 households every month. As a food and diaper bank, we have a warehouse, supplementing almost a dozen pantries and places throughout Walworth County with food and milk, in the collaborative fight to end food insecurity. We are the only diaper bank in Walworth County, offering diapers, period supplies, and incontinence products. With more than 100 volunteers, we are neighbors helping neighbors.

🎄✨ Holiday helpers, needed! ✨🎄

If you’ve ever wondered, “Can I make a difference in a small, simple way?” — the answer is a big, jolly YES.

Right now, The Bridge is gathering ingredients for our holiday dinner distribution, and we’re on the hunt for two very important festive MVPs:

🥫 Canned yams — the cozy, sweet THanksgiving side that makes every holiday plate feel like home.
🍍 Sliced pineapples — because our Christmas hams deserve to be dressed to impress.

These little items add up to big joy for our guests — families who count on The Bridge to help make the holidays feel warm, delicious, and full of dignity.

If you’re able, drop off a can or two this week. It’s a small act with a huge ripple of kindness.

Let’s make the season brighter together. 💙

🥒 Cucumber Rescue Mission: SUCCESS! 🥒

Sometimes being “too big” is actually a very good thing! 😂

Apparently, these cucumbers were too big for Claussen pickles. (Is there such a thing as a cucumber that’s too big? Asking for a friend.)

One of our volunteers spotted a post from Hephzibah Farms saying they had gaylords (yep, HUGE boxes!) of cucumbers that Claussen refused because they were too big. Instead of letting all those cucumbers go to waste, Hephzibah Farms offered them up to anyone who could use them.

Our volunteer saw the post and thought, “The Bridge can use those!” So off they went to pick up a bunch—and now these giant cucumbers will be making their way home with our guests this week. 🥒💚

A BIG thank-you to Hephzibah Farms for sharing the harvest and helping us turn Claussen’s loss into our guests’ gain!

Who knew being too big could be such a big dill? 😉

🍂 A little autumn love from all of us at The Bridge. 🍂

There’s something about fall in Lake Geneva—the changing leaves, crisp mornings, and that feeling of slowing down and appreciating the people around us.

And this fall, we’re especially appreciating you. 💙
To everyone who gave to The Bridge in September, we want you to know that your generosity didn’t go unnoticed.
You gave because you care about your neighbors.
You gave because you believe every family deserves to have the essentials they need.
You gave because you believe our community is stronger when we look out for one another.
We see that. And we’re so grateful.

🍁So as the leaves begin to paint Lake Geneva in shades of gold, orange and red, we simply want to say:
Thank you for showing up.
Thank you for caring.
Thank you for being part of The Bridge. 💙

🚨 WE NEED BAGS! 🚨

We’ve got fresh produce. 🥦🍎🥕
We’ve got families who need it. ❤️
But we’ve run out of something pretty important… PLASTIC BAGS!

Our Fresh Market area relies on plastic grocery bags so families can easily choose and carry home fresh fruits and vegetables.

If you have a stash of clean, reusable grocery-store plastic bags sitting around your house, basement, or trunk (you know you have them 😉), we could REALLY use them!

🛍️ Bring your bags to The Bridge Food & Diaper Bank and help us keep our Fresh Market moving.

One bag may seem like a little thing. But when you’re helping hundreds of families, those little things add up.

🛍️ Have bags? Please drop them off at The Bridge.
📣 Don’t have bags? PLEASE SHARE this post!

Let’s see how many bags our community can round up! ❤️

Bags in. Fresh produce out. Everybody wins.

Thank you for helping us keep fresh food moving into the hands of our neighbors!

💙 Good Neighbor Day at The Bridge!

What does a good neighbor look like?
Sometimes they bring dinner.
Sometimes they donate diapers.
Sometimes they show up for a Saturday volunteer shift.
Sometimes they simply notice someone could use a little help.

At The Bridge, good neighbors come in every shape, size, and story — and this community proves it daily. ❤️

Want to celebrate Good Neighbor Day?
💛 Donate food or diapers
💛 Volunteer an hour
💛 Share kindness forward

Thanks for being the kind of neighbors who make Walworth County stronger.

Lake Geneva friends — we need a quirky little hero from your kitchen.
Empty egg cartons. Yep… the humble egg carton.

The Bridge just received a large shipment of bulk eggs, and we’re working hard to divide them into family-sized portions for our guests. To do that, we need your clean, empty cartons — any size, any brand.

You can drop them off anytime.
Just head to the back of our building, open the little vestibule, and you’ll see crates where you can place them. Quick, easy, and incredibly helpful.

Thank you for always stepping up for your neighbors. You make community care possible.

🥕🍎 WE HAVE A BAG PROBLEM. And for once, we’re asking you to help us make it bigger. 😂

Our Fresh Market goes through a LOT of plastic grocery bags as we sort and separate fresh fruits and vegetables for our clients.

Think of it this way:
🍎 Apples need a bag.
🥦 Broccoli needs a bag.
🥕 Carrots? Yep.
🍌 Bananas? You get the idea.

If you have a stash of clean, gently used plastic grocery bags taking over a cupboard, pantry or that mysterious spot where all the reusable bags go to die… we’d LOVE to put them to work!

🛍️ Bring your clean plastic bags to The Bridge Food & Diaper Bank and help us keep our Fresh Market moving.

It’s a little thing that makes a BIG difference—and it keeps those bags out of the trash, too.

Got bags? Bring ’em. We promise they’ll have a purpose. 💚
