We help connect WV veterans to skills classes 💻 and complete a certificate, diploma, or degree 🎓

Our Mission: To assist and support eligible military veterans in their quests for higher education. Veterans Upward Bound is a United States Department of Education TRiO Program dedicated to helping Veterans of the U.S. Military take full advantage of the educational opportunities available to them. VUB provides services and materials (at no cost to program participants) for the purpose of facilitating enrollment into and successful completion of studies at institutions of higher learning. Veterans throughout West Virginia have received services from our Veterans Upward Bound program since 1990. Former VUB participants have earned degrees from colleges and universities in West Virginia and other states. NOTE: AI might be used for grammar/spelling correction, resource compilation, content summarization, or information generation. Any information derived from AI will be proofed/revised by a human before distribution.

Peak Living Services is hosting a Veterans Stand Down Event on November 4 in Charleston, WV. This event connects Veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness with valuable resources and support.

🇺🇸 Reminder for Veterans: Discounts Available Year-Round!

Many Veterans know about special offers on Veterans Day, but did you know that hundreds of businesses offer discounts to Veterans all year long? From clothing and electronics to travel, restaurants, home improvement stores, and more, these savings are available every day as a way to thank Veterans for their service.

Some examples include discounts on apparel, technology, home goods, entertainment, and even travel and internet services. In some cases, Veterans may receive 10–30% off purchases or special pricing depending on the company.

These savings can add up and help make everyday expenses a little easier.

The SGT Melvin Gatewood Rucking the Trails WV 5K Ruck/Walk/Fun Run is happening Saturday, November 7, from 10 AM–2 PM at the VA Memorial Park in Clarksburg, WV.

This special event honors the legacy of U.S. Army Veteran SGT Melvin Gatewood and supports Operation Continue Service’s mission to remember the fallen and motivate those who still stand.
