Nevada Secretary of State Francisco Aguilar announces launch of new election transparency dashboard
CARSON CITY, NV – Nevada Secretary of State Francisco Aguilar announced the launch of a new election data dashboard to increase transparency into the election for the public. The new dashboard is available on VIVID.NV.gov and includes detailed information on statewide voter turnout, mail ballots and in-person voting.
“Transparency builds trust into our elections. The new VIVID dashboard provides real-time data directly from election officials about voter turnout, mail ballot activity and more. It’s transparency you can see and understand,” said Secretary Aguilar. “Nevada is a leader across the country when it comes to the security, accessibility and the voter experience. The Secretary of State’s Office is focused on modernizing Nevada’s elections processes to continue strengthening security and transparency and finding innovative ways to help voters get engaged.”
The Visual Interface for Voter Information and Data (VIVID) provides a centralized, statewide view of election activity through public-facing dashboards. It brings together key data from across the state to present clear, timely and transparent information about the status of elections.
The new VIVID dashboard includes:
• The number of ballots mailed out, returned, accepted and outstanding
• Breakdowns of ballots mailed out, returned, accepted and outstanding by party and county
• The number of ballots that need to be ‘cured’ or verified by county election officials (including ballots with missing or mismatched signatures)
o The number of ballots successfully cured
• In-Person Early Voting turnout by day
• In-Person Early Voting and Election Day turnout by county and party
In partnership with the Nevada Broadcaster’s Association, the Secretary of State’s Office is launching a series of digital ads to promote the new dashboard that will air across digital platforms, TV and radio. Ads are available in English and Spanish on the official YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/).
In addition to the VIVID dashboards, the Secretary of State’s Office uploads daily reports on the status of ballots and voting activity for all active registered voters across Nevada. These reports show voters who have voted in-person or by mail, and if their ballot is in need of a signature cure. It also shows voters who still have outstanding ballots or who may not have voted yet. Information is broken down by Congressional District and County. To navigate these lists:
1. Visit the Secretary of State’s informational page on the VIVID project here
2. Scroll down to the “Voter List & Ballot Status Reports”
3. Download the file of the county (and Congressional District, if necessary)
4. Ballot status, vote method and more can be identified in the reports. If a ballot needs to be cured, it will be flagged as “Signature Cure Needed” in the Ballot Status column
The Secretary of State’s Office launched a beta version of the VIVID dashboard ahead of the 2026 Primary Election. The Office will continue to make enhancements to the dashboard with additional information and data.
