🚑 EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT 🚑

Please join us in getting to know Brandi, EMT-B, who has been part of our EMS family since June 2026!

❤️ What inspired her to pursue a career in EMS?
Brandi’s journey into EMS began with her daughter’s medical challenges. After experiencing seizures as an infant, her daughter was later diagnosed with brittle bone disease. These personal experiences helped inspire Brandi’s desire to help others during some of their most difficult moments.

🚑 What does she enjoy most about EMS?
Brandi enjoys meeting new people and helping others. For her, the most rewarding part of the job is being there for people when they need help the most.

💙 What does she wish the public knew about EMS?
EMS is harder and more dangerous than it may appear. Every call comes with its own challenges, and our crews work hard to provide care while keeping themselves and their patients safe.

📸 A little about Brandi outside of work:
When she’s not serving the community, Brandi enjoys making stickers and photography. She’s been a wife for 15 years and is a proud mother and stepmother to three children. Her family also includes two beloved fur babies—a cat and a Dalmatian! 🐾

😄 Something you might be surprised to learn:
Brandi says her age might surprise you because, as she puts it, “I’m not as old as I look!” 😂

☕🍿 Her go-to shift snacks:
Popcorn and a Starbucks Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino are her favorites!

⭐ What does being part of our EMS department mean to her?
Brandi says it means a lot to be part of a team doing work she loves. She also appreciates the opportunity to continue growing in her career, with the possibility of advancing from EMT-B to Advanced EMT or eventually becoming a paramedic.

🏡 A message to our community:
“Parts of the county are very rural, and it does take time to get to you safely. But we are coming when we are called, and we will take care of you the best we can.”

Today, we take a moment to recognize and honor the men and women who answer the call when our community needs help most.

From the first call to the final handoff, Todd County’s public safety family works together to protect, serve, and care for our community. ❤️💙

Today, we proudly recognize:

🚔 Law Enforcement — Thank you for protecting our communities and answering calls for help, often putting yourselves in harm’s way.

🚒 Firefighters — Thank you for running toward the emergencies others run from and for being there when our community needs you most.

👨‍🚒 Allegre Volunteer, Allensville Volunteer, Sharon Grove Volunteer, Guthrie Volunteer, Elkton City, Fairview Volunteer, Trenton Volunteer, Pembroke Volunteer.

🚨 Rescue Squad — Thank you for your dedication, skills, and willingness to respond whenever and wherever you’re needed.

🚁 Air Evac 151 & Air Evac 10 — Thank you for providing lifesaving critical care and rapid transport when every second matters.

📞 Dispatchers — The calm voice on the other end of the phone. Thank you for answering the calls, gathering vital information, coordinating resources, and helping guide people through some of their worst moments.

🚑 EMS — Thank you for answering the call, providing compassionate care, and being there for our patients and their families during some of life’s most difficult moments.

Our deepest condolences

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, fellow troopers, and law-enforcement community following the loss of a dedicated Kentucky State Trooper.

We stand alongside our brothers and sisters in law enforcement during this difficult time and honor the service, sacrifice, and commitment made in service to others.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the trooper’s loved ones, colleagues, and all those affected by this heartbreaking loss.

Rest in peace, KSP Trooper Phillips. Your service and sacrifice will never be forgotten. 🖤 💙🖤

🍂🚑 FALL FESTIVAL FUN! 🚑🍂

We had a great time hanging out with everyone at the Fall Festival today!

We did have a couple of EMS calls during the festivities, and we greatly appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation as our crews worked to quickly reach and assist those who needed us. We truly have an awesome community! ❤️

We also want to give a special shoutout to some of the best PRN staff around! You may not see this crew often, but they volunteered to staff a third ambulance on their Saturday off just to make sure we had extra coverage for today’s events.

Thank you both for stepping up and helping take care of our community! 🚑💪

We hope everyone had a great time today and makes it safely to their next destination. Stay safe, and thank you for making our community such a great place to call home! 🍁

In honor and remembrance of the events on 9/11, we had some visitors from Cash Express in Hopkinsville and the PACS volunteers at Elkton Senior Citizens Center stop by at the dispatch/EMS building.

🇺🇸 25 YEARS. WE REMEMBER. 🇺🇸

September 11, 2001 — a day that changed our nation forever.

Today, we remember the 2,977 lives lost, the families forever changed, and the countless first responders who ran toward danger when others were running away.

Among those heroes were 343 firefighters and 60 police officers and 8 emergency medical personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving others.

Twenty-five years later, their courage, sacrifice, and dedication remain a powerful reminder of what it means to answer the call.

🚑 We remember the fallen.
We honor the heroes.
We will never forget.
