🏠What is Not In My House?

The Not In My House campaign is about taking a stand against underage drinking and substance use by creating, safe healthy environments for our youth.

As parents, caregivers, and community members we all play an important role in helping young people make healthy choices. This starts at home by setting clear expectations, having open conversations, and making sure our homes are not places where underage drinking or substance use is allowed.

Preventing underage substance use is a community effort. By working together, we can help protect our youth, promote healthy decisions, and send a clear message: Not in my house. Not in our community.

A POD (Point of Dispensing) occurs every five years and is part of our emergency preparedness plan. These temporary, community-centered clinics focus entirely on efficiently distributing vaccines to the public.

This would not have been successful without our partnerships with Dickey County Emergency Management, Ellendale Public School, Ellendale Ambulance Service, Ellendale PD, and Dickey County Sheriff's Department. We also want to recognize our additional nurses - Megan, Emily, Allyssa, and Kayce for their hard work! We were able to administer approximately 200 vaccines today! Oh, and we also removed some stitches as well 😆

October is National Bullying Prevention Month- a good time to check in with your child about kindness, inclusion, and how they treat others.

Bullying can be hard to talk about, especially if your child is experiencing it, witnessing it or isn't sure what to do when they see it. You don't have to have all the answers. Starting the conversation is a great first step.
