📚 What does it mean to reimagine the future? Join us for the Bauder Book Talk with Nnedi Okorafor, an award-winning, New York Times bestselling author whose work explores the possibilities of science fiction and fantasy through African cultures, history and storytelling.

Okorafor is a leading voice in Africanfuturism, a literary movement that centers African perspectives in imagining future worlds. Her acclaimed works include the "Binti" series, "Who Fears Death", and "Akata Witch". She has also written comics featuring Marvel characters Black Panther and Shuri, bringing her imaginative storytelling to the world of superheroes. Her novel "Ikenga", an Edgar Award nominee, follows a young boy in Nigeria who discovers a mysterious object that gives him extraordinary powers and challenges him to use them for good.

This year's Bauder Book Talk theme is Reimagining the Future. We celebrate the power of stories to challenge expectations, explore new possibilities and inspire us to imagine what comes next.
